In Loving Memory of Denny Witkin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Denny Witkin, who died peacefully in her beloved garden on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

Denny was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose loyalty, honesty, and courage touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was someone people could always count on for a sincere opinion, wise advice, and unwavering support. Despite life’s challenges, she remained positive, resilient, and deeply appreciative of every day.

A student of Judaism, Denny continued to learn and deepen her faith until the very end. She embraced life with enthusiasm and found joy in cooking, playing pickle ball, spending time with her cats, travel and adventure, and sharing precious moments with family and many friends.

Professionally, Denny was a successful architect with her former husband Michael, then later built a very successful career as a Federal Benefits Specialist, and helped federal employees plan for retirement, earning the respect and trust of both clients and colleagues. After selling her business, she looked forward to enjoying a well-earned retirement. Sadly, life took an unexpected turn that changed her future forever, yet she faced every challenge with remarkable strength and dignity.

Denny was especially blessed to share her life with her devoted husband, Benson, whose love and dedication never wavered. He cared for her with extraordinary tenderness, attending to her every need, particularly during the time when she was no longer able to communicate. His devotion was a true testament to their love.

Above all, Denny cherished her family. She was devoted to her children Mark and Gabriel and grandchildren in Israel. Denny was also wonderful to Benson’s children Jennifer, Marissa and Michael and the seven grand children in San Diego. They were the center of her world, and her love for them was constant and unconditional. She also treasured the many friendships she nurtured throughout her life, leaving behind countless memories of laughter, kindness, and generosity.

Denny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her courage, warmth, integrity, and love of life will remain an enduring inspiration to everyone whose lives she touched.
